About
I live on ten wild acres in north central Florida with my husband and 108-pound, crazy yellow Lab-German shepherd “puppy,” Max, who also loves to garden.
I’m a member of the Florida Native Plant Society and sit on the board of directors of the Paynes Prairie chapter in Gainesville. Ialso writes a column from time to time about the ethnobotanical uses of native plants for the bi-monthly statewide FNPS newsletter, Sabal Minor.
I enjoy eating wild foods and I am working on a book about the medicinal and edible uses of herbs and plants that are native to or widely naturalized in Florida.
